What can I say. WOW, what an event! The weather held out, the scores were high, the prizes from POWAKADDY our event sponsor were excellent, the players were well lubricated and the money raised was staggering!
We had a total of 18 teams, including Whitstable Metals x 3, Abbott Construction, Burgess Hodgson, Red Eagle, Site Labour Supplies, Rainbow Greenhouses, Keaveney Contractors, Invent Architecture, ALE Business Supplies, Exchequer Solutions, Runway Training, High Profile, Farrer Barnes, Miller Brickwork, Able Services, Tilmanstone Salads.
The day started with brandy all round and full english breakfasts, lots of raffle ticket sales and 92 mulligan balloons being sold. Does that say more about their golf or our selling tactics?
Out on the course the format was best two scores from 4 and individual stableford. You could also use up to two mulligan ballons per player.
Throughout the day we served 285 bottles of beer on the course and 5 litres of spirits; they were a thirsty lot. Needless to say that after a long round of golf they came in weary, a little drunk, but ready to hit the bar and buy even more raffle tickets.
The event ended with a full carvery, raffle results, a massive auction of some fabulous donated items and the prize givings.

We also had a variety of winners for longest drives and nearest the pins.
Our chairman Wayne Hodgson hosted and compered the day with some final words on the charity to the group with an additional rousing unprompted speech by Lee Parsons from Site Labour Supplies which saw him donate a further £300 personally and get the rest of group to stump up another £700. Well done Lee!
In total, the final amount raised after all costs came to just over a staggering £10,300 !!!!!!!
