Returning to The Cave Hotel and Golf Resort in Boughton, on the outskirts of Canterbury for the second consecutive year, the fourth Kent Construction Charity Golf Day 2023 surpassed all expectations following a wash-out on the course the year prior, which left golfers fleeing for shelter and the warmth of the 19th hole!
This year, quite in reverse, the golfers were treated to glorious sunshine and blue skies as well as the infamous beer buggy so synonymous with a DWAD golf day to keep everyone hydrated and happy. Many opted to ‘Beat the Pro’ on the seventh hole (that being expert golfer, digital whizz and DWAD’s very own Trustee, Connor Styche) with few succeeding but enjoying the banter nonetheless.
With 25 teams confirmed ahead of the day, this year always had the potential to be a record-breaking fundraiser and thanks to the kind generosity of the many local businesses supporting it was just that!
The overall winners this year were Team AIMIS whose name will be engraved on the annual shield, as well as our charity of course in raising a staggering £19,000 that will truly make a difference to the lives of those who need us.
We’ll be back next year (date to be confirmed) so be sure to make contact if you would like to be part of a fun-filled day that offers the perfect opportunity to play golf, network and raise money for our deserving cause.
